Create your InLight Lantern!
We are so pleased here at CMoR to have been asked to take part in InLight Richmond 2010! For those of you that don’t know, InLight Richmond is an annual public exhibition of contemporary art inspired by light! The event is organized by 1708 Gallery and takes place in a different area of Richmond each year. This year the exhibition and parade will take place in Shockoe Slip on Friday, October 22nd from 7:30pm-midnight! This is InLight’s third year running and its popularity with the community grows more and more with every year that comes and goes!
CMoR jumped on the opportunity to be involved and for the past month we have had a lantern making station set up in our art studio so that both kids AND adults could have the chance to make a lantern to take to the InLight parade and be involved in a fabulous event! We have many different pattern choices, colors, and decorations to create unique and artistic lanterns! This project will be available all the way until the end of the day Friday so if you haven’t made it in to make your very own lantern then it’s not too late! Hurry by CMoR and make your lantern and join in supporting our arts community and join in the celebration of the third annual InLight Richmond 2010!
When Meredith is not busy creating wonderful partnerships around the Richmond community she serves as the Director of Art at the Children's Museum of Richmond
