Students will go on a real-life adventure exploring a day in the life of Native Americans. They will practice depicting and narrating Native American oral history, and employ many different aspects of the Native American lifestyle, such as transportation, shelter, clothing, and even bartering through hands-on, interactive activities. Students will gain a better understanding of the Powhatan, Lakota, Pueblo lifestyles by applying already familiar concepts in crafts and projects. Students will have the opportunity to use their knowledge to construct a product of their own in groups, as well as individually.
Students will leave the program with their own personalized medallion necklace.
